During this long weekend from 7 to 9 November 2009 we had the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable stay in Girona, namely in the region of Ripoll, with its capital in Ripoll. During the weekend we have enjoyed visiting the Greenway Route Ferro and some other unique places in the Shire. This series of articles aims to divulge some of these places, quite special for its high historical, artistic, or natural.
On November 9, 2009, Monday public holiday in Madrid, started the morning go to visit the source of the river Llobregat, in the Sierra de Cadi, to 1259mts of altitude, near the village of Castellar de N 'Hug. Castellar de N'Hug
is one of the most beautiful villages and more typical of Catalonia. At the foot of the village on a slimmest throat, and from the bottom of the mountain, emerging with a vengeance through the cracks in the rock walls nurtured several waterfalls, Les Fonts del Llobregat, origin and birth of this famous river.
The site, despite its rugged terrain, is perfectly prepared for the visit, enjoying a pleasant walk in the spectacular upwelling of water as we walk along a rugged wooden walkway zigzagea swiftly and firmly by the throat.
Today the site was covered with snow and the visit has given us our first contact with the snow in this winter season.
The beauty of the landscape, covered with snow early in this sunny day, wearing a color contrast and provided unparalleled feelings very difficult to replicate in another setting.
After enjoying the place, we continue our march on the final day of stay in the lands of Girona.
