Nuremberg (German: Nürnberg ) is a city of the German federal state of Bavaria, located in the region of Central Franconia. It is a city that perfectly combines the essence of ancient monuments and medieval, with the features of active and modern metropolis, more appropriate to our time.
The old city is surrounded by 5 km of stone walls, very robust, rising about 80 towers, built in medieval times and which gives a special feature.
Although over 90 percent of the old city was destroyed during World War II, most buildings were rebuilt according to original plans.
